another moment for the weekly photo challenge “Symmetry”
a sunset moment from Lanzarote island, where we stayed in a new place for a while. Inspired by the “new” photo challenge. and a new quote:
“The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” – Marcel Proust, In Search of Lost Time
for sky friday – the sky view that brightened up the last couple of days, which i had to spend in hospital. still so glad that i had a room with such a view. (more about those days, here: this translucent state of fear and hope & to still trust life.)
and a quote: “Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”
― Rabindranath Tagore, Stray Birds
from 2006. that’s Genova harbour. arrived there with bus, left with boat. such a different mode of travelling. the memory of that evening bubbled up with the current “nighttime” challenge.
“Photos, just like people, can communicate with each other” – that’s the theme of the current wordpress Dialogue of photos. the task is: “for this week’s challenge, bring together two of your photos into dialogue. What do they say to each other?”
it’s a curious & inspiring theme, it’s just a bit sad that the stream of images mostly only shows the first image: and here’s the collected dialogue photo stream – yet that brought the idea for my take on dialogue: 2 moments from 2 very different roads, crossing in this imaginary scene.
for skywatch friday: a sunset moment from earlier this week.
