Transition: NewOldCastle – Neuburg

This weekend brought first snow. And a trip to Neuburg. It turned out to be perfect timing, to be there in this old place, and visit the Christmas market wrapped in winter  atmosphere.

It’s a time of transition, I thought on the way back home:

From November to December
From late-autumn weather to real winter
From 2015 towards 2016
From Mindful November posts to I-don’t-know-yet

And the place itself, “Neuburg” – it literally means “New Castle”, and dates back to the time when they built that white new castle. Which of course with time turned old, too, like all things do: life, it is change.

sculpture walk inspiration

Exploring landscapes and experiencing art – both of those activities and the places they lead to (in mind and in real) are sources of inspiration for me.

Yesterday i did both simultaneously, while walking along the summer sculpture walk at the Alb plateau. It’s so good and so full of moments that i only visited the first half of sculptures, to keep the other ones for a second visit.

And 2 inspiration quotes:

“Do one thing every day that scares you.” ― Eleanor Roosevelt

“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” ― Maya Angelou
