unintended painting

This was only the paper to test colors and shapes, and I didn’t really notice the color effects until another one of our painting group took some photos, and also focused on this “workpage”.

Some general symbol/color meanings that i just looked up:

“Circles commonly represent unity, wholeness, and infinity. Without beginning or end, without sides or corners, the circle is also associated with the number one.”

“The color blue is idealistic, enhancing self-expression and our ability to communicate our needs and wants. It inspires higher ideals. Blue’s wisdom comes from its higher level of intelligence, a spiritual perspective.”

“The color red is a warm and positive color associated with our most physical needs and our will to survive. It exudes a strong and powerful masculine energy.”

  1. I love the “unintendedness”! There’s simple beauty and joy in it . . . and at the same time, the symbolism and meaning is there—how life paints a lot onto our canvas that we never intended.
