lava walk + visual spaces (converge)

I’m in Lanzarote right now, which is a vulcano island – the last eruption occcured in 1730. The area is now a national park, and walking there, through lava fields, feels a bit like walking on another planet, and the contrast of ordered wood structure and architecture and the wild angles of lava couldn’t be more intense. Just some miles from there, you can walk along sand beaches.

More moments and notes from here: life as a journey – Lanzarote 2014

This post is inspired by the current weekly photo challenge: “Converse”, with this interesting note on what photos are:

Photos are visual spaces where shapes and lines, objects, and people come together.
