a/way (El Camino de Santiago, day 60)

the fascination of longer trails – this is the Camino de Santiago / Way of St. James, or in German: Jakobsweg. the photo is from: near here. yes. as it turns out, one of its German trails that lead towards France and Spain actually passes through not far from here. i walked along it this week, and while on it, thought of the words: being away / being on a way

there’s a similar word connection in German: way is Weg. and an informal way to state: i am away for a while is: “ich bin Weg” – “i am way.”

some more notes & photos of the walk along the Camino, here: walking “El Camino de Santiago”, or: a home journey
