ti/me (Plochingen, day 30)

this is from a place not far from here: Plochingen, at the Neckar river. the signs on the post are for walking / biking routes. what i recenlty learned in a new historic exhibiton: Plochingen was a place of crossing and passing through since Celitc and Roman times, one of the orientation points in the time before correct maps and GPS, as the river Neckar makes a turn here  while at the same time a smaller river flows into it: the Fils.

after learning all this, it now feels different to walk along the shore, knowing that once Celts and Romans walked here, migrant groups and traders, leaving their invisible trace.
